I'm a Goner!
Wasn't it just yesterday that first tooth furiously fought its way screaming to the surface? Today a giant smile full mischievously, lovingly, innocently, adorably strums the strings of my heart.
Time does fly!

A Need to Feed (Trifecta : Olive Kitteridge)
Fair warning, this one will be a bit of a change from our usual light, airy fare.
This weekend we are playing another type of word game with you. Below are photos from the 33rd page of one of our very favorite books, Elizabeth Strout's Olive Kitteridge. What we want you to do is to scour the page (click to enlarge), choose 33 words, and reshape those words into a piece of your own. Your piece does not have to tell an entire story. We just want to see what you can do with this particular word bank. Punctuation is up to you. Use whatever you need, whether or not it appears in the photos.
Need to devour her life.
Panic squawking, huge and urgent.
Ripping open fat entrails.
Pink spray.
Bones collected.
Blanket wrapped.
Leave hidden at water's edge.
Relief came.
No children.
A comforting, thin lie.

A baker, I am not...
Bought a frozen crust, not overestimating my skills.
Directions:
Remove pie shell from container.
Place on baking sheet.
Bake...
Remove from "container"?
Container?
Okay...
Perfect pizza crust.
This was my response to the folks over at Trifecta who posed this challenge.
This weekend we're asking you to write 33 words that will make us laugh or smile. Even a chuckle will do. We look forward to the communal spirit lifting. Good luck!
