Dream Shoes
‘KETCHUP WITH US’ – Prompt #13
In 57 words or less, tell us about whose shoes you’d like to walk in for a day.
The Lucky Girl: all I have is all I need.
Classic Converse One-Stars.
Preppy, plaid Sperry top-siders carry me
comfortably, carefully through each day.
But just once, I'd like to flash the tell-tale sexy, scarlet sole -
my Leboutin dream shoe,
as I smolderingly saunter out of a room,
leaving everyone whispering in my wake.

Brilliant choice of shoes!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bo! I just want to wear them once...I gasp audibly every time I see a pair. Frankly, it is embarrassing, but what can you do?
Deleteah, my Helene had a bout with those shoes in the book.
ReplyDeleteVery sharp, tight 57, amy
Indeed she did, Sir! I re-read that part at least three times as I was in Footwear Fantasyland!
DeleteThanks for writing the book, that part, and for taking time to read and say such nice things about my piece!
Wonderful. Was wondering what you'd do. I love.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It was actually E who made me realize it was the obvious choice. See? Luck Girl!
DeleteStunning shoes, indeed! If I were to imagine myself wearing those--which I'd love to--I'd have to be entirely stationary to look the part; if walking is involved, uh, please look the other way! :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent point! You'll note I didn't say how long the walk out of the room was! A girl can dream, though...
DeleteThanks for reading and taking time to leave a comment!
I'd love to take a long walk in the converse. Those others are HAWT, but I wouldn't last long!
ReplyDeleteYou can borrow my One Stars any day!
DeleteThanks for taking the time to comment, Kari!
I love that red sole. I know I felt like a queen prancing around Prada in those ketchup red shoes that cost $700. When you say that "leaving everyone whispering in my wake." What a great desciption. Awesome entry, Amy! Thank you for linking up. We love it when you do!
ReplyDeleteYou in those Prada shoes were totally rock star!
DeleteThanks for putting out the ketchup challenges. They are so much fun!
Love this unique response, Amy. I'm totally with you. I probably wear flip flops ten months of the year. Southern weather permitting.
ReplyDeleteI especially love the last picture. Tell me they're a 7 and I'll be on the next plane to "borrow" them.
Thanks for Ketching up with us!
In the South, open toes are the way to go! If I ever have them -in any size- you can totally "borrow" them!
DeleteThanks for hosting the challenge so I can ketchup!
Nice shoes!
ReplyDeleteBut for you turning heads while walking, the shoes would just be icing.
You sweet talker, Guap! Thanks so much.
DeleteSo wear the Cons to a gala event, and the CB's to Taco Bell.
ReplyDeleteSame attitude!
Great plan, BT! Thanks!
