I Am Not A Morning Person : Ketchup #6
IN 57 WORDS OR LESS, TELL US ABOUT SOMETHING YOU'RE NOT THANKFUL FOR.
I've tried the dulcet, soothing tinkle of wind chimes,
cheerful chirping crickets,
quirky quacking ducks,
Bad-ass blues,
Clamoring church bells,
And, of course, the classic screaming firehouse siren.
The sound is irrelevant. The result, the same.
I must drag one reluctant appendage at a time, out of hibernation into the cold, cruel world of another day.

So true! The comfort of your bed and deep slumber is unmatched. There's nothing worse than lifting the warm cover and forcing yourself to move. Ugh. Visiting from #KetchupWithUs.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sandra. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
ReplyDeleteI'll stop by to check it your #ketchupwithus later today. It is way too early to be awake.

This is so true. Chris used the cricket sound, too, but I now sleep through it. I think I've become immune and often the sound enters into the dream I'm having. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Thanks for linking up!
I'm reading this from underneath my comfy blankets. I can totally relate as I'm trying to drag reluctant appendages out of bed. Great post Amy.
ReplyDeleteI'm standing on the cold tiles of my bathroom in my bare feet so I guess I'm tougher than all of you! :)
ReplyDelete"one reluctant appendage at a time" ... Very poetic. Well done, Amy.

ReplyDeleteAhh! The alarm clock. Mine it set to the song "I want to be a millionaire" by Bruno Mars.
