Resolve to ... Ketchup #9

Michele and Mel are at it again! For this installation of Ketchup With Us, they have asked us to write about a New Year's Resolution that we should make, but we know we'll never keep, in fifty-seven words, of course.

To rise before the first alarm,
Bounce blissfully out of bed,
Roll onto my yoga mat, and
Throw open my arms
In glorious Sun Salute.
Gratefully awakening each muscle
As preparation for the day.
Moving effortlessly, radiantly,
Energy-filled and caffeine-free...
Dreamy.
I will start tomorrow.
Seriously...
Today, though, I'll hit Snooze just one more time.

  1. This sounds like such a peaceful morning, though! (I'd hit snooze again, too.) Just started doing P90X with my husband and part of it is Yoga. My favorite part of the whole thing! Child's Pose and Upward Dog are my fave.

    1. It does sound peaceful, doesn't it? There was a time in my life when I actually used to do this...long, long ago.

  2. Wouldn't that be wonderful if we can just come out of bed and exercise every morning. I think I will make that my New Year's resolution for 2014

    1. I thought to. One day I'll make it out without hitting the Snooze button... One day...

  4. Amy, you paint such a lovely picture. I wanna be "her," too. But you know what? I bet she's really bitchy by the time she goes to bed. And that's probably not her real hair color either.

Great post, Amy. Thanks for linking up ... and happy new year!

  5. I bet you're right! That cranky bitch! No one would want to be around her. I'm way more fun. And this isn't my real hair color either!!!

Happy New Year to you, too!

    1. Thanks, LD.
I'm going to have to think about that question later and get back to you...later...

  7. That sound like a great idea, good luck with it!
I'd rather invent a snooze button that has a 30 minute interval instead of just 10...

    1. Thanks, Guap. I agree. It is just that, an excellent idea. In practice, the snooze button is just too powerful.
      Thirty minutes would be amazing!

  8. What? You don't already do that? That's exactly how I start every day. ;)

    1. Oh, good, because if you believe what I wrote, then there are so many other false--I mean--absolutely true things I can share with you. ;)

    2. Oh, do you have a bridge for sale? I was thinking about looking for one. ;-)

  10. Resolutions we should make are one thing, but 57 words, I could never . . .
